BEFORE YOU INSTALL

Which kind of mod do you have?

REDmod is one format. It is not required by every Cyberpunk mod.

REDmod installation

Install the REDmod DLC and preserve each mod folder under Cyberpunk 2077/mods, including its info.json manifest. Enable mods in REDlauncher or GOG Galaxy and let deployment finish.

Traditional archive mods

These use archive/pc/mod. Preserve required companion files; the REDmod switch does not control this route.

Framework-dependent mods

Follow the author’s requirements for CET, RED4ext or redscript. These use separate destinations and do not become REDmods merely by moving them.

Common building blocks

Install these only when a mod requires them. These are selected framework links, not a live popularity ranking.

HEIMDALL HANDLING

Recognize first. Route second.

The proposed definition identifies the game, then checks the package layout and its requirements. Mixed or unrecognized packages require review.

  • REDmod: preserve each mod folder and its manifest; deployment and load order are part of activation.
  • Archive mods: keep archive names and companion files together. The REDmod switch does not control these files.
  • Framework mods: preserve their separate destinations and dependencies.
  • Recovery: record installed files and keep backups. Updating a definition must not silently move existing mods.
