Separate test branch
Public Test Server
Steam owners can install “Fallout 76 Public Test Server” as a separate library entry. The October 15 test introduces early Hideouts and World Pets changes. Bethesda targets Hideouts for spring 2027 and World Pets changes for winter 2026; test contents can change or be removed before release. Console testing follows a separate approval process.
In Steam Library, install the separate Fallout 76 Public Test Server entry using an account that owns the Steam game.
Live-game file modifications may not work in the PTS. The separate test installation and current publisher instructions take precedence.
