Reave’s playtests explored a dark fantasy extraction game built for virtual reality. Players entered dangerous dungeons alone or with allies, fought creatures and rival adventurers, and tried to escape with loot. Physical combat, uncertain alliances and character progression shaped its raids. This guide records the limited test rather than an available full release.
Test build released
The April 22 limited playtest introduced progression goals, a skill tree, a new enemy faction and a fresh progression wipe. That dated session has ended. The current Steam store notice says the game is no longer available, so this page records the test’s history.
No Reave playtest mod loader or supported file-modification method was found in the checked publisher material and targeted mod-catalog searches. The historical April test’s SteamVR OpenXR Meta Compatibility setting was a runtime setup step, not a modding system.
