Start with the right package.
Soulmask provides a Steam Workshop and a MODKIT. Use subscriptions and the game’s supported mod selection flow; a downloaded project or raw Dev Kit source is not an installable client mod.
- Subscribe to a compatible published item in the Soulmask Workshop.
- Let Steam download it, then use the game’s mod options for your world.
- Check the author’s dependencies and whether all players or the host need the mod. Keep a backup before changing a world.
Use the game or author’s installation flow. Automated installation in Heimdall is not enabled for this route.
Keep your setup dependable.
Use the game’s launcher to check for updates and verify files if it fails to start. Keep demo and playtest installations separate from the full game.
Use the platform launcher to start the game. Check the publisher’s current notices after a game update.
