Start with the right package.

Community PAK mods and script mods have different requirements. A documented client PAK location is R5/Content/Paks/~mods. Some mods also require a host-side installation; server hosting is outside this client guide.

1. Choose a mod and read whether it affects the client, the host, or both.
2. For a client PAK package, follow the author’s R5/Content/Paks/~mods instructions. Do not use that folder for arbitrary script packages.
3. Use the exact loader specified for script mods. Back up saves and check compatibility after updates.

Use the game or author’s installation flow. Automated installation in Heimdall is not enabled for this route.

Keep your setup dependable.

Use the game’s launcher to check for updates and verify files if it fails to start. Keep demo and playtest installations separate from the full game.

Use the platform launcher to start the game. Check the publisher’s current notices after a game update.
